I’ve been plying playing around with my spinning, and it’s been pretty darned fun. Wanna see some of the results?

Here’s a core-spun novelty yarn with bits of mohair lumped in every now & again:

Then there’s the 2-play disco-glittery skein of wool and angelina that turned out so glittery and pretty…

This is a “junk yarn” made up of wool and various bits of thread, silk, acrylic yarn bits, fluff and dryer lint. Okay, maybe I’m kidding about the dryer lint.

A beautifully soft skein of Targhee, spun into a candy-striped two-ply:

And on the bobbin, another skein of Targhee that is ready to Navajo ply:

That’s it. That’s all I’ve got. It’s been such a busy week, and all the spinning has really acted as stress relief. The act of spinning is so meditative, and does a world of good for a weary spirit. Namaste’, my friends.

After seeing these pieces in person on Saturday, these photos just don’t do your work justice. Just stunning.
