serendipity abounds

What an outpouring of support—thank you so much, you guys. You all seriously rock. I’m hanging up the dating shoes for awhile — Claudia will tell you I’ve done this before. Taking a little man-batical, yessiree.

To keep myself busy and distracted tonight, I headed over to the Flying M Coffeegarage to meet up with Jocele and do a little knitting on the Ribby Shell.

Arriving a bit early, I sat near a young woman and her little girl. Immediately the girl started up a conversation. What a cutie! After chatting with her for a minute I pulled out my knitting. Her mother’s eyes were on me immediately, like she has knitting radar or something. “Are you here for the Tuesday night knitting group?” she asked, all smiles. “I am!” Group? A KNITTING group? Right here? Right now?

Thirty minutes later Jocele and I were right smack dab in the middle of a great group of knitters—LOCAL knitters, even. Can you say fate? I had my camera with me, so I had to grab a few photos!

Here are Andi and Sarah. Sarah is the owner of a new yarn shop in town, The New Ewe (I’m so envious….). I didn’t ask, but it looks like Andi is working on an entralac project. Fun!

This is Karen (who has the heart of a spinner, I’m tellin’ you), her adorable little daughter, and Heidi, who is also a knit blogger, can you believe it?? Her blog is Pick Up Sticks — go say hello!

Jocele is working on a beautiful pair of socks, with the totally addictive Socks that Rock yarn. I’d never seen (or felt) STR before, and Jocele is a very baaaaad (insert sheepy bleat here) influence. Smile pretty, Jocele! ;)

The whole group was kind enough to pose for me. Say “wool”, everyone!

The evening was so much fun, and it was great meeting this wonderful group of knittywomen. Soon my cell phone rang, and it was Joey. “MOM! Come HOME already! Sheesh! You’d better not be knitting!” The kid knows me pretty well, he does.

Hi Kim! Margene sent me over and it seems like we have a lot of the same friends. ;-)
What a great coincidence to wind up in the middle of a knitting group.

    Kim,
It was amazing running into you and Jocelle at the M last night! I don’t really believe in accidents, so I just know we were all meant to meet.
    Blessings,
    Heidi

What good fortune: randomly running into a knitting group. Nice!

Fabbo! And that silly boy of yours, “you better not be knitting!” Ha. You could be bar-hopping or something. I guess he’d rather have you be doing that? :)
