March is National Craft Month. It only makes sense to me that employers everywhere give their employees 4 day weekends throughout March, so that National Craft Month can be celebrated appropriately. Don’t you think?
In honor of National Craft Month, (and because I left my camera at the office), I wanted to highlight a few amazing craftsters out there in the blogosphere.
> Kinship in Color and Wool - Brenda has an ongoing project called “Old Coat Thursday - Making Diminished Things Glorious“, where she is embellishing an old black wool coat with the most beautiful stitchery. This coat is going to be amazing.
> Whipup.net, an online commune for some super-crafters, is a great portal of inspiration. For example, Craftapalooza has written a tutorial for a customized tape measure. Is that not the coolest thing ever??
> MissyB is a color master. She has dyed an entire color wheel of yarn. I’m drooling all over myself here.
> Monica of Team Boston spun, dyed and knitted this gorgeous scarf for Stephanie’s 2006 Knitting Olympics. All I can say is WOW!
> Alison’s knitted boots were made for walkin’. These are SO wild, and I love ‘em. Love. Them.
These are just a few of the many wonderful projects I’ve seen recently that have really inspired me to be more creative. Now it’s your turn–what inspires you to think outside your creative comfort zone?

Thanks for the compliment!
I agree, four day weekends in March. And maybe April and May… Heck I’ll take any long weekend between now and Memorial Day.

It’s national social workers month too.
