104 and working with wool

It's summertime in southwest Idaho, which means HOT and DRY. Yesterday it was 104, and the humidity ran around 9%. Margene knows what I'm talking about, don't you, girlfriend? So what does a girl do to cool down after a hot day at the office? Spin, of course!
This is the gorgeous wool/mohair blend that dear Greta sent me awhile back. I've been used to spinning thick and thin for rug yarn, so it's been a challenge to spin just a few fibers at a time. Oooh, this stuff is a dream!

I had to include this photo taken with the flash on - the sheen and the colors are so beautiful.

I've got my eye on some gauntlets or wrist warmers (ala Katy) for this gorgeous stuff. Uhoh--lookit the time! I've got to run---enjoy your Tuesday, guys!

Yes! Wrist warmers. Come over to the warmer side. I LOVE that color. Greta has such a good eye. Yum!

I'm dying here! It's just too hot to do anything. Rain this weekend which just might be a good thing for your trip down. I'll call and we'll work something out (IF I have a car).

Love the color of the wool. I also adore the cottage! Definitely has that Southern gal kind of look to it - doesn't it? And - hey - if I ever had a "normal" anything I'd be shocked. Thanks for your comment and your concern. The trip was the break I needed.
